Henri de Lapparent founded the venture capital activity of the Caisse des Dépôts in 1986 and headed its development in the TMT sector. He was President of Part’Com, the CDC subsidiary specialised in TMT investments, and then became Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Iris Capital Management. He was also Chairman of the Board of Coficiné, a French bank dedicated to bridge financing of TV and cinema production. He has been on the boards of a great number of companies including Babel, BDDP, Com-Dev Images, Ifcic, Lumière, Mediamobiles, Opentrust, Outremer Telecom, SFR, etc. Henri is now President of Soficapital, a Sofica investment vehicle dedicated to financing independent film productions.
Prior to founding the Team, Henri de Lapparent was an advisor to the CEO of the CDC Group, responsible for defining its strategy in the communications sector. Prior to joining the CDC Group, he was Director of R&D at the French National Audio-visual Institute (INA) and Director of the French Computer Systems Agency in charge of the implementation of computer systems backup initiative in the early 1980s.
Henri de Lapparent is a graduate of ENSAE, the French National School for Statistics and Economic Management.
