Our history
Founded in 1986 as part of the Caisse des Depots group at the instigation of Henri de Lapparent, and investing internationally as early as 1991, the team became independent at the end of 2003 as Iris Capital. The team has always coherently and exclusively held a sector-specialisation covering media, telecoms, IT and Internet, or as it is known today, the digital economy.

Both Orange and Publicis actively support Iris Capital; they do so with their expertise as well as in terms of strategic vision, over a wide spectrum covering digital technologies, services and content (online marketing and advertising, e-commerce, mobile content and services, online games, social networks, etc.) as well as related infrastructure (middleware, cloud computing, online payment, etc.).When Iris Capital invests in companies, it brings to them its network of privileged relationships with both groups, in Europe as well as other regions of the world where they are present (North America, Asia, MEA).
